Delmont Apple ’n Arts Festival
Everyone is invited to the 36th Delmont Apple ’n Arts Festival, held
in conjunction with the Fort Allen Antique Farm Equipment Associa-tion.
The event is held at Shield’s Farm in Delmont. The times this
year are Saturday, Oct. 6, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 7,
from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
These two days are filled
with activities for the kids,
such as the Annual Baby
Apple Cheeks Contest,
pumpkin painting, a
barnyard petting zoo and
pony rides.
The amphitheater stage
will be filled with plenty
of activities, along with musical entertainment. There will be art
and craft vendors and at least 30 food vendors! You’ll definitely find
something for all ages!
You must have apples at an Apple Festival, right? On Sunday, there
is the 26th Apple Bake Contest! It involves anything you can bake us-ing
an apple! Enter to participate on our website, delmontapplenarts.
com.
The Fort Allen Antique Farm Equipment Association will be there
both days, with a daily tractor parade; on Saturday, an antique tractor
pulling demonstration; and on Sunday, a garden tractor pull.
There also will be a drawing for a chance to win a 1954 Massey
Harris Pony tractor or $1,000 cash.
Apple Cider? This may be the best part of the festival!!! Fort Allen
sells gallons of fresh pressed apple cider, made using a press from
1907! Several varieties of apples are sold as well.
The food court area has all sorts of options! There are always new
and exciting things to try. The toughest part is figuring out which to
try first! Mmmm, Good!
A gravel shuttle bus parking area will be available at Steel City
Raceway, in addition to our regular on-site parking. There’s plenty of
room for lots of fun and excitement, so join us the first weekend in
October for this great family event.
Be sure to visit our website (delmontapplenarts.com) or Facebook
page for more information.
