LECOM jump-starts careers For students interested in becoming physicians, pharmacists or dentists, the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine gives an early start through Early Acceptance Programs (EAP) at over 100 colleges and universities. Pharmacy student Emily Petrak was accepted at LECOM when she entered Thiel College. “I loved that the EAP program allowed me to be free of the anxiety over applying to and being accepted to a pharmacy school,” she said. “I was able to focus on other ventures, such as my research, track and field, cross country and friends and family. I value my time in undergraduate school and the peace of mind the EAP afforded me.” Marcy Bauer had a similar experience at Clarion University. “Pharmacy and the medical field were both strong areas of interest, so choosing LECOM’s 3+3 Pharmacy Pathway was a decision I felt confident about making,” she said. “It was also an immense weight off my shoulders knowing there was a reserved seat waiting for me.
