The Steelers held their first training camp
at Saint Vincent College in 1966. It’s the
second-longest active relationship between
an NFL team and a college for training camp
behind only the Green Bay Packers and St.
Norbert College.
This year, camp opened on Thursday, July
25 and will continue through Aug. 16. For a

Training camp draws thousands of fans
each day from across the Western Pennsylvania
region and beyond to see their favorite
players, get their first in-person look at the
team’s newest additions, perhaps seek out
autographs and share in the excitement for
the upcoming season with their fellow blackand
gold faithful.
After camp closes for the day, fans often go
in search of food and beverages. One popular
