THE ARTS SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA STILL GOING STRONG Community ties to Westmoreland County some of the biggest reasons for WSO’s longevity BY KAREN PRICE For Trib Total Media In the opinion of Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra executive director Endicott Reindl, it’s no mystery as to why the organization is entering its 49th season. “I definitely attribute that to the strong sense of commu-nity and pride,” Reindl said. “We have such a rich cultural heritage, not just historically but in having the art museum, having the different galleries, having Stage Right, having the choral society, and a lot of them — if not all — were started by a community member, whether it was 10, 20, 50 years ago, believing there was a need in the community that needed to be filled. “A lot of these organizations are just so intrinsically tied to Season finale with the WSO Chamber Singers. 18 | Destination Westmoreland 2017 SUBMITTED
