One of the best, and worst,
things about traveling is the
surprises that can arise.
When I began to plan my
recent trip to Ireland, I spent
countless hours researching
gardens, trying to determine
where I should take my fellow
gardening travelers.
Although Powerscourt Gardens
was rated as the third greatest
garden in the world by National
Geographic, a smaller public
garden was the place that won
the hearts of everyone on the
trip.
Mount Usher Gardens
only covers 22 acres, but the
combination of two great
gardening tour guides and a
space filled with perfectly placed
rare plants made the visit a
spellbinding experience.
We didn’t stop talking about
this place for the entire 10 days
