Point Park focuses
on experiential learning
Point Park University’s
cooperative education program
emphasizes innovative
and experiential learning that
helps eligible students gain
real-world, full-time, paid
work experience and earn up
to 12 college credits for it.
Point Park students have
completed co-op experiences
with many corporate partners
and have established
networking connections
throughout Pittsburgh and
beyond.
Many, like Baylee Zimmerman,
’18, have been offered
permanent jobs with their
co-op companies upon graduation.
As a co-op student,
Zimmerman earned college
credit while gaining experience
in a temporary, paid,
full-time position related to
her major at Flying Cork.
“I was offered a full-time
position with Flying Cork
upon graduation,” she said.
“I’m currently doing an array
of things in my position, from
setting up and managing
Amazon accounts for clients
to project management for a
new client.”
