Saint Vincent College
opened the $5.7-million
James F. Will Engineering
and Biomedical Sciences
Hall in December as an
extension of the Sis and
Herman Dupré Science
Pavilion.
The building houses a
human anatomy laboratory
that will serve not only
pre-med students but
those pursuing study in
integrated sciences and the
biomedical sciences.
Saint Vincent’s four-year
engineering science
program, initiated just
four years ago, has doubled
the number of engineering
students from 35 to 71. One
of the floors of the building
will be devoted to that field.
The facility will provide
space where students
can work in teams with
outstanding faculty to
develop rigorous creative
thinking so that graduates,
imbued with the liberal
arts, can serve the world.

The Penn State story is
where tradition meets
21st century innovation.
Where things like studying
hard and making the most
of opportunities never go
out of style.
As one of the top 100
universities in the world,
Penn State measures student
success by going from
the “ah” of understanding
to the “aha” of discovery.
It is why Penn State is
investing $30 million to
nurture business start-ups
springing from student
ideas and faculty research.
It is why new majors are
being launched to meet
the demands of a changing
world.
And it is why Penn
State is at the forefront
in solutions that address
problems facing the planet.
It’s a story that you can
be a part of!

In compiling this ranking,
the magazine utilized
