Waynesburg University, a private Christian university Founded: 1970
near Pittsburgh, provides a valuable, personal and
hands-on educational experience that prepares
undergraduate and graduate students for lives of
purpose and continued growth.
The university is located on a traditional campus in
the hills of southwestern Pennsylvania, with three
additional sites in the Pittsburgh region.
Waynesburg offers more than 70 major concentrations
and five integrated bachelors-to-masters programs in
athletic training, business, counseling, criminal
investigation and education.
The university also offers graduate and professional
programs, with some available 100 percent online.
Improvements are under way at Westmoreland as the
college continues to provide the area with cutting-edge
technology in its educational programming.
This fall, the college opened a new Science Innovation
Center at the Youngwood campus that houses state-of-the-
art labs for anatomy, biology and microbiology.
Reading and study spaces with open seating provide
students with a comfortable area to learn and relax. And
Up & Atom, a new café that features drinks and
sandwiches, provides a convenient location to grab a
quick bite.
