For more than 20 years, McCall made his name in art in the District of Columbia suburbs, doing instructional work mainly in Alexandria, Va., at the Torpedo Factory Art Center, Warehouse Bar and Grill and King Steet Blues. ART, MEET ARCHITECTURE Four hours away in Greensburg, while artists such as Brian McCall find their way, there’s been no shortage of archi-tectural splendor in and around town. It has become a visible means for Greens-burg’s mushrooming cultural district. Included, too, is a saturation of art studios and the products they produce. Mike Langer is giddy over the pros-pects. “We as a group are proud to witness the growth and expansion of a cultural district in Greensburg,” said Langer, president of Westmoreland Cultural Trust. The center of Greensburg shows off its architectural splendor, starting with the Westmoreland County Courthouse, ‘UNTITLED’ which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. A visitor pointed at a painting on the wall. “Me and Nat,” Daisher said, referring to a co-worker. The faces of a male and female side by side have no eyes, noses or mouths. But it is clear the bearded Daisher had painted a characature of himself. A former frontman for a local punk band, Daisher is quite excited to see the explosion of art around him. “One of things I find that is neat DISCOVER THE ARTS A painting by Rev.
