PLAY Miracle League gears up for a new
season following hiatus due to pandemic

After three years of preparation,
Mike Magulick was ready for the first
season of Miracle League baseball in
Moon Township.
Then, as was the case with every
facet of life last year, plans changed.
Now, after a one-year delay, the Miracle
League of Moon Township will
host games for the very first time
beginning May 15.
“It’s hard to put into words the
excitement that we have,” said Magulick,
co-founder of the Miracle League
of Moon Township. “Because of the
pandemic, the amount of recreation
for individuals with special needs
and disabilities was taken away more
than it was for people who didn’t have
special needs. For kids with special
needs, camps were canceled. Miracle
League was canceled. Community
programming for kids with special
needs was taken away. In group
homes, a lot of outside activities
weren’t allowed. So the excitement
