should be on your college list

Westminster College—a
nationally recognized liberal
arts college located in New
Wilmington, Pa. — takes
pride in giving its students
the opportunity to “Be a Part
of Something Real” by approaching
the college experience
a little differently. Count
down with us as we give you
10 reasons why Westminster
students flourish:
1. Go from Westminster
to any career
Westminster’s 51 majors
and professional programs
have prepared students for
thousands of successful careers. Sometimes the career path
is obvious — like the pre-med students who are accepted to
medical school (more than 90 percent in 2019) — but more
often it isn’t, like the English major who works for a tech
start-up company. Westminster will help you find your path.
2. Westminster has an amazing reputation
Employers notice Westminster graduates. Real-world
experiences and collaboration prepare students for real
world jobs, so when they leave Westminster, they leave
real-world ready.
3. Student life is big
No matter what you’re into, whether it’s art and athletics
or volunteering and video games, it’s easy to find other
students who love it, too. With more than 80 clubs and organizations
and several fraternities and sororities, there’s
always something happening.
4. Westminster takes care of its students
From academic support and a wellness center to a career
closet for students who need suits for job interviews, faculty
and staff support students in every way.
5. It’s all about teamwork
Athletics are a big deal at Westminster. With 22 NCAA
D-III sports, nearly half of the student body are athletes,
and everyone shows up to support one another. It’s about
teamwork, it’s about dedication — it’s about Titan pride.
6. Making
connections with
Westminster’s alumni
Westminster’s alumni are
dedicated to helping the next
generation of Titans succeed.
Alumni routinely work
to connect students with
internship opportunities,
letters of recommendation
and even first jobs.
7. Hands-on
experiences abound
At Westminster, it’s all
about gaining experience.
Westminster is in the top 5
percent nationally for student participation in hands-on
experiences, such as internships, research, study abroad,
service and leadership.
8. Westminster students do remarkable things
A year after graduation, 98 percent of students are either
employed or in graduate school. In fact, Titan success
stories are written from coast to coast. So no matter where
you see yourself after graduation, Westminster can help
you get there.
9. The best bang for your buck
Students receive personal attention and hands-on
experiences while typically paying less out-of-pocket
than they would at a large state university. Merit-based
scholarship packages range from $12,000 per year up to
full tuition. In fact, 100 percent of degree-seeking
undergraduate students received tuition assistance.
Consistently ranked by Money magazine as “One of
the Best Colleges for Your Money,” Westminster will work
with you to make your college education affordable.
10. Student success is the priority
College can be intimidating, but the Westminster
community is dedicated to helping you achieve your
goals. Students work together to support one other, and
the faculty and staff put students at the center of
everything they do. Student success is Westminster’s
main focus.
