Plans: My plans
for the future are
not exactly defined,
however I know generally what I
would like to do. Before I graduate
from high school, I plan on completing
my Girl Scout Gold Award and
Global Scholars Projects. I hope to
attend college for at least four years.
Right now, I am leaning more toward
the humanities field rather than
S.T.E.M. For college, I am hoping for
a challenge in an area that genuinely
interests me.

University Direct Admission Pharmacy
Pathway and Honors College. I am
proud of this, as it sets a foundation
for a pharmacy career.

school, I envision joining a team like
“Doctors Without Borders” to deliver

Plans: I had a
stroke at 8 years
old that severely
impacted my life physically, emotionally
and psychologically. Because of
this experience, I have made more
than 3,000 bracelets for children in
the hospital and therapy through
my project, Courage Bracelets. I will
receive an IB diploma when I graduate
from high school, and I plan to go on
to college to study psychology and
theology. My goal is to use my own
experience in both psychology and
ministry.

always been passionate
about science.
When my close friend was diagnosed
with cancer, I was immediately
drawn to biomedical research. Over
the past few years, I have performed
research in tumor immunology to try
to find innovative ways to safely kill
cancer cells. I presented my work at
science fairs and a TEDx Youth event.
I plan to pursue a career as a physician
scientist and hope to improve
patients’ lives through scientific
discovery and compassionate care.

Plans: After an
apprenticeship
program with the AIU and UPMC
Passavant, there is no doubt in my
mind that I want to work in a hospital,
specifically in neurosurgery. I plan to
research huge concepts and make
discoveries that will truly advance our
understanding of the mind and what
causes it to go wrong. Is there a cure
for dementia? Parkinson’s? Alzheimer’s?
My plans for the future will take
me down that path, and I hope to be
able to make a difference in the world.
