In December, they moved just a “stone’s throw” up the road from 1416 to 1428 Lincoln Highway, according to owner Gary Arovits. Using the same delicious sauce recipe since they opened twenty-seven years ago, Bishop’s Pizza has been voted as the 2017 Readers’ Choice Community Award winner for Best Pizza in North Versailles. The move to the new location, allowed for Bishop’s Pizza to add eat-in dining to its already successful takeout and delivery options.The dining room seats about thirty people. adno=6452616 There’s no real secret to Bishop’s Pizza’s award-winning recipe. “We only use one supplier,” Arovits said. “It’s a good quality of toppings that makes the difference.” Well, that and the cheese, which they get from the Pennsylvania Macaroni Company. And as for value for your money, Bishop’s has you covered there, too. “We sell an eighteen-inch round large pizza,” Arovits said. “Most other pizzerias’ larges are sixteen inches or even fourteen inches.” The menu also boasts thirteen different specialty pizzas. From appetizers to burgers, wings, sandwiches, hoagies, salads, strombolis, calzones, wedgies and pasta dishes, there’s something that’s sure to catch your eye.
