Joe Luffy, founder of Earth Elements, started the company in 2006 with a piece of plywood staked
in the ground with “Earth Elements” spray painted on it.
Now, with locations in North Huntingdon and Rillton, Earth Elements has been the premier
hardscape and landscape supply store in these areas and surrounding areas for over 12 years.
Luffy credits his knowledge of the business to his early years, when he worked from the bottom up.
He started cutting grass while attending Norwin High School to make extra money. His love for the
craft and ideas for his business blossomed from there.
Today, Earth Elements lives by the motto: “You get what you pay for.” Their mission is to offer elite
customer service with the highest quality products.
Along with quality products, Luffy credited his staff of quality people: Lori, Loren, Shane, Michael,
Bob and Lee. He said he wouldn’t have the success he has had without them.
“It’s more intimate here,” Luffy said. “We truly care about people’s projects and want them to look
the best they can. We help a lot of contractors in the area and landscapers, and we understand
because we used to do the landscape work and we know what they need.”
Luffy also credited his late mother, Judith Luffy; and father, Pete Luffy, who instilled in him a strong
work ethic and to remember that work comes first and fun comes later, which he is thankful for now.
Earth Elements offers EP Henry walls and pavers, Oberfields walls and pavers, Husqvarna
automowers, pizza ovens, outdoor kitchens, mulch, topsoil and more. They are the largest distributor
of Oberfields Hardscape products in Pennsylvania for the past 12 years.
Earth Elements also offers delivery to North Huntingdon, Irwin, Rillton, Herminie, Jeannette,
Greensburg, Monroeville and surrounding areas in Westmoreland and Allegheny counties on every
product they carry including firewood, wood pellets and E-Z bricks.
Luffy said his Rillton location will have a major transformation in spring of 2020. The changes will
include a new indoor/outdoor display with new products and an extensive inventory of blocks,
pavers and automowers.
Customers can save big at the store from Nov. 4-9 with a 10 percent discount on automowers and a
20 percent discount on wall block and pavers. Delivery can be scheduled through spring of 2020.
