TRIB TOTAL MEDIA THURSDAY, APRIL 27, 2017 · 29 DiPietro’s Ristorante has long been a fixture in the heart ofWest View, and to owner Pete DiPietro, their success comes from treating customers like family. Since it first opened in 1978, DiPietro’s has been serving delicious food in their dining room and for carry-out. And once again, their loyal customers have voted them the Readers’ Choice Gold Award winner for Best Italian Restaurant in the North. “When people go out, they don’t just go out for the food, they go for the hospitality. We show our appreciation for them when they come to eat here,” DiPietro said. “I want to say thank you to our customers. They are also our friends, and I mean that from my heart.” DiPietro’s makes most of their ingredients fresh in the kitchen, and their dishes include homemade sausage, meatballs and sauces crafted from imported tomatoes. They use only the best quality meats, and their steaks are cut fresh at the restaurant. Their dinner choices range from staples of Italian dining to their house recipes, such as the chicken or veal a la DiPietro, and they can be enjoyed comfortably in the restaurant’s recently remodeled dining room. adno=6445969 adno=6445966 DiPietro’s Ristorante Yet, with so many quality choices, the owner stays away from giving a recommendation on what dish to order. “We have a lot of specialty dishes, and when a customer asks for a suggestion, I have to ask what they are in the mood for. I love them all, I can’t pick one,” DiPietro said. “My concern is the quality of the food. If I wouldn’t eat it, I won’t serve it.” DiPietro’s also makes their pizza dough fresh daily for a variety of pizza choices that can be had in the dining room or ordered at the counter in the front of the restaurant. “Mom and dad can come in, have a nice dinner and bring a pizza home for the babysitter,” DiPietro said. “(Customers) have flexibility if they want to eat here or are in a hurry to go.” Most important to DiPietro, however, is that customers feel as welcome in his restaurant as they would sitting down for a family dinner. “We have people who come in a couple times a week—even a couple older gentlemen who come in daily. It’s like home, and that’s how I want people to feel.” DiPietro’s 412 Perry Highway 412-931-9878 Ristorante In Business Since 1978 Mon-Thurs: 11:00 AM - 09:00 PM Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15229 Fri & Sat: 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM Sun: 12:00 PM - 09:00 PMf Gold Award—Best Restaurant - Italian - North We use only the best quality meats, chicken and veal, and cut our steaks fresh at the ristorante.
