Open for just six months, the menu options are plentiful at Barrel Junction, where fresh is the key word. “It’s a ‘scratch’ kitchen,” said owner/executive chef Ronald A DeLuca Jr. “Everything is hand-made all day long. Burgers are our No. 1 seller, then the house-smoke meats.” The burgers are ten ounces and are a custom blend of meats, served on Mancini’s buns made specifically for Barrel Junction, DeLuca said. The house-smoked meat options include a pulled pork sandwich, beef brisket sandwich, pulled chicken sandwich, cubano and a mushroom-and-Swiss brisket. In addition, Barrel Junction offers hand-tossed pizzas, appetizers, sandwiches, baskets, skillets, soup, salads and more on the extensive menu. EachWednesday isWing Night, when wings are only fifty cents each. If you want to stop for some food on the way home, there is an everyday takeout special of two large one-topping pizzas for twenty dollars. To pair with the great food, Barrel Junction has a vast beer menu at their expansive bar, where customers can choose from the twenty-two rotating craft drafts. The bottles include pale ales, pilsners, wheats, stouts, porters and ambers among others. If you’re not in the mood for beer, Barrel Junction also offers local ciders, wines and signature cocktails.
