The Lamp Theatre
The Lamp will shine again! A WWII-era movie theater that closed
its doors in 2004, The Lamp Theatre reopened in August 2015 as a
performing arts center. Enjoy live performances, cinematic produc-tions,

The Palace Theatre
Opened on Sept. 2, 1926, as the Manos Theatre, The Palace Theatre
today hosts the widest variety of live entertainment in the area in
a beautifully renovated, 1,369-seat facility located in downtown
Greensburg. It is home to the Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra and
a regional venue for the River City Brass Band. Westmoreland Cultural
Trust is the owner and developer of The Palace since 1990.

Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra
The Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra brings world-class soloists
to the concert stage. Under the artistic direction of Daniel Meyer, the
WSO presents four classical concerts and one holiday pops, all at The
Palace Theatre in downtown Greensburg. The WSO’s Academy of Music
provides educational programs, including the Young People’s Concerts,
the Summer Philharmonic, Youth Orchestra, Classical Encounters and
private lessons.

Historic Sites
Antiochian Heritage Museum
The Antiochian Heritage Museum offers visitors a glimpse into the
artistic, cultural, and spiritual heritage of the Near East, Eastern
Orthodox Christianity, and its roots in and around Antioch (Syria).
Exhibits range from the richly inlaid wood furniture of Damascus to
antique religious icons that have served for centuries as windows into
the heavenly realm. The museum is part of the Antiochian Village Con-ference
Center, located on 300 acres just north of historic Ligonier.

Bushy Run Battlefield
Discover the military tactics that decided the fate of the Pennsylvania
frontier in 1763 during the Native American uprising known as Pon-tiac’s
War. Bushy Run Battlefield is the site of a clash between forces
led by Col. Henry Bouquet, en route to relieve a besieged Fort Pitt, and
several allied Native American nations who ambushed them in hopes
of repelling British and Colonial advances into the frontier. Highlights
of the site include the interpretive exhibit “The March to Bushy Run” as
well as guided and self-guided tours.

Compass Inn Museum
The Compass Inn Museum is an authentically restored 1799 stagecoach
stop, inn and tavern. Enjoy “history with a smile” as costumed docents
immerse the visitor in the transportation and daily life of the early
1800s. Completely furnished with period pieces, visitors can tour seven
rooms in the inn and three restored outbuildings.
