2022 Honda Civic
The changes and updates to the Civic aren’t earth
shattering, but they do improve on what is already one
the best looking and best performing vehicles in its class.
The redesign adds about two inches in length, close to
1.5 inches in wheelbase and truck volume of the sedan
increases to 15 cubic feet from 14. There’s also slightly
more distance between the left and right of wheels (track
width), which gives the Civic a more planted appearance.
The base non-turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder carries over
with 158 horsepower and 138 pound-feet of torque, while
the optional turbocharged 1.5 makes 180 horsepower
and 177 pound-feet, a gain of six horsepower and 15
pound-feet. Both come with continuously variable
transmissions that have been revised to improve fuel
economy. A six-speed manual gearbox is available, but
only for the hatchback. Both the sportier Civic Si and
Type-R hatchbacks — with turbocharged engines and
six-speed manual transmissions return — with outputs
of 200 and 315 horsepower, respectively. Standard Civic
