opulence and performance along with the thriftiness and
seat-of-the-pants power of an electric vehicle. It’s also a
clear alternative to the gasoline-powered S-Class sedan.
The sleek hatchback design makes the EQS one of the
best-looking premium-class electrics available. Its off-thescale

luxury cabin is even more stunning when equipped
with the appropriately named Hyperscreen, consisting
of a 56-inch curved glass panel extending the width of
the dashboard. It contains a 12.3-inch instrument cluster
for the driver, a centrally located 17.7-inch infotainment
screen that includes detailed navigation mapping, plus
a 12.3-inch infotainment screen that the front passenger
can access. The Hyperscreen is optional in the base
EQS 450+ and standard in the EQS 580. The former uses
a rear-mounted 329-horsepower motor, while the EQS
580 has front and rear electric motors that produce a net
529 horsepower. A 107.8 kilowatt-hour battery is common
to both and provides a claimed range of up to 350 miles.
