Or, imagine what it might mean for towns along the Westmoreland Heritage Trail if cyclists traveling the Great Allegheny Passage could use the trail to connect to the West Penn Trail and others in the Trans Allegheny Trails network. Eventually, that could be a reality. Phase III of development of the Westmoreland Heritage Trail — 5.9 miles from BY Park in Trafford to Duff Park in Murrysville — is on track for completion in August, adding to the nine miles already in existence from Saltsburg to Delmont. The long-range goal is for the trail to be completed for 22 miles connecting Saltsburg
